Why Rent?

Because it's easy and cost efficient. If you want to use the appliances with none of the hassles then renting is the way to go. We have a large number of appliances to choose from, easy one page contracts with short, or long term available with 3 months being long term. Once you have chosen the appliances you require we do everything else.

Do you have a minimum rental period?

Yes for standard rental agreements the minimum period is three months but we also have short rental.

How do I apply to rent from Central Rentals?

You can apply by:

  • Clicking on the ‘Contact Us’ link. This will allow you to send us an enquiry. Once received, we will contact you to discuss your requirements, conduct a credit check and arrange a delivery time to suit you.

What information do I need when applying?

Applying is easy, and can be completed in one simple phone call or by calling into the shop. All we need is your details, and the appliances you want to rent. Details required include:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Birth

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Yes, if the agreement was compleated on the phone the person whose name is on the application will need to be home to show their identification, sign any documentation required and accept delivery of the products.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Yes, we can deliver on Saturday mornings from 9-12. Please speak to our office staff if you have any special delivery requirements.

How much notice do I have to give you for delivery?

In order to ensure delivery at a time to suit you we recommend 48 hours notice. We can however deliver within 24 hours in most instances.

How do I make my rental payments?

Payments can be made in one of two ways:
  • For short term rental (3 months) it is preferable that you pay in full on
    delivery. Both cash or cheque are acceptable.
  • For longer term rental (greater than three months), we normally set up Automatic payments weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Is there a bond or deposit required?

No, there is no bond or deposit required in most instances.

What happens if I move?

Contact us at least 48 hours prior to moving, to advise us of your new address. We will arrange to collect your appliances and deliver them to your new address at no charge with in Palmerston North.

What happens if my appliance breaks down?

One of the many benefits of renting with Central Rentals is that if your appliance breaks down during your rental, we will service and repair it absolutely FREE. If we cannot repair it on site then we will replace it for you – free of charge.

Can I end my rental agreement early?

Yes, you can. You can end your rental agreement anytime after three months.
